Who or What are We ?

This is a work in progress and I am building on it as I meditate and study.  I am using information from the books listed on the parent page Metaphysical Willie as well as information from Sheldrake’s work.

In the broadest terms I think it is safe to say that each human being is a collection of thoughts and possibilities.  Possiblities are “known” or experienced as thoughts.  For instance, you think you might have a chicken sandwich for lunch or maybe a salad.  The possiblity is held within the thought. Can a possibility exist beyond a thought?  For that we have to ask the question, what is a thought and where does a thought exist?

Surely thoughts are experienced or recorded or felt by our brains and nervous system, but do they originate within the human brain or is the brain merely a feedback mechanism?  To be aware of one’s thoughts requires consciousness.  Consciousness is awareness of one’s existence in the context of the world around that one.

We might consider Sheldrake’s theory of morphic resonance as consciousness, a virtual sea of information that flows around and through us effecting us through a law of cause and effect.  In the Science of Mind Holmes talks about Universal Mind and the creative effect that thoughts have upon this Mind.  It exists as a sea of potential to become anything that spirit or consciousness presents to it in the form of a thought.  According to Holmes it takes more than a thought to create. Emotion in the form of belief, faith or self assuredness plays a part in the effectiveness of the thought to create. Thoughts are the form or mold and Mind fills the mold manifesting the thought in physical form depending upon the emotion associated with the thought.

Quantum Physics has presented us with the picture of a universe that is made of energy.  Energy as matter being particles or photons (bundles of energy) and waves.  Waves with their tremendous capacity to store information are the guiding force for the photons according to De Broglie’s Pilot Wave Theory.  Waves envelope the particles and guide them.  The particles move slower than the speed of light but the waves move faster than the speed of light.  According to Tiller the two parts of energy, waves and particles, communicate via deltrons, i.e., human emotions.

When quantum physicists study sub atomic particles they measure them by where they will be and how they will act according to mathematical equations that determine the most likely possiblity.  In fact, it is popular belief in QM (quantum mechanics) to believe that particles are nothing more than possiblities.  If that is the case then we are nothing more than a cloud of possibilities. This cloud of posibilities is held together by consciousness.  In other words, we are a thought that contains numerous possibilities.  Our emotions effect the world around us as well as our own “physical being”.  Until a particle is observed it exists as many possiblities but is effected by the observer, hence our observations about ourself and our world effect the world around us selecting possiblities, but how?

How do our thoughts effect the world around us?  Tiller, Kohane, and Dibble’s experiments (reported in Conscious Acts of Creation) in intention storage and the amazing results of those experiments demonstrate that human intentions can be stored and will effect surrounding matter both inanimate and organic.  Emoto’s work with water, showing that water when crystalized will reveal the effect that surrounding human thoughts and emotions have had upon the water also demonstrate that our thoughts and feelings not only effect us but also our surroundings.  This lends credence to the spitritualists and their reports of psyschometry.  If intentions can be stored in devices in a laboratory why then can’t intentions be stored in other objects which are made of the same energy?

So far we have a picture of a human being as a collection of particles that are guided by waves of information.  It is effected by consciousness that is an awareness of its own existence.  But what exactly is it that is aware of itself?  Is this the super conscious of Jung?  Could it be the Race Consciousness that Holmes talks about in Science of Mind?

The answer to both questions, in my opinion, is yes.  There is a field of energy that is everywhere throughout creation.  Remember that energy is bundles or light or photons or particles, whichever you choose to call them, and waves of information that move faster than the speed of light. Creation is a process that is a combination of deltron emotion and information transfer via waves.  Waves communicate information via interference, that is when two waves meet and overlap, providing they are in phase there is constructive interference and they exchange information, each wave retaining its own information as well as being imprinted with the information from the other wave. Amplitude of a wave is increased by interference when waves are in phase, but cancel out when they are out of phase, i.e., one is peaking and the other is troughing, also known as destructive interference.  In esoteric terms I think this means that when one is in harmony with the universe one’s thoughts have more creative ability.

So human beings, through their emotions and thoughts, are creating their world and bodies, but where is the order?  How is this maintained?  Where is the original universal creative force in all this?  The Zero Point Field is the field of fields, the big kahuna, Le Grand Fromagge.  It is the keeper of all fields.  It exists everywhere and connects everything.  Accordingly, when you feel an emotion it is felt in the field and throughout the universe.  It is the closest thing to God or spirit that scientists have found so far.  We exist within and are a part of this field.  There is a very good explanation of what the ZPF is and how it works in Lynne McTaggert’s book, “The Field”.  If waves are the storage devices of information, intelligence, consciousness, then the field contains all information and intelligence and is omnipresent and omniscient.

We then are a cloud of possiblities with self determinism, made of the same stuff the universe is made of and capable of returning to the “field” as information waves and existing within the field without a physical body.  This sounds like a soul and spirit.

Just knowing this is tremendously uplifting and empowering.  It dares to bridge the gap between thousands of years of esoteric lore and scientific study.  It demonstrates that we are a spirit having a spiritual experience and also answers the question of mortality or immortality because if we exist as energy and energy cannot be creted or destroyed, then we are immortal.  If we exist as waves of information carrying energy, that is if we are a collection of thoughts with creative ability, then were we not created as a microcosm of a macrocosm?  To put it in religious terms, were we not created in the imageof God?
