Metaphysical Willie
A lot of my time and thought energy is spent contemplating the big picture of life and existence. I’ve always been a thoughtful person and can spend hours in contemplation. My background, starting in a home with a Christian mother, and later studying other religions and philosophies has led me to the place I am at today. My spirituality is not something I wear on my sleeve. I think our thoughts on spirit like several other things, is very personal. That being said I will from time to time ramble on about my musings and opinions on metaphysics. These are my opinions…
I have been reading about metaphysics and quantum physics for some time now. Earlier in my life I practiced Siddha Yoga. I’ve been a clinical hypnotherapist and have studied Religious Science using the course on the Science of Mind (please don’t confuse this with scientology or Christian Science, it’s not either of those two philosophies). I’ve had some life altering spiritual and metaphysical experiences. I meditate or contemplate every day as well as spending some time reading. Some of the books I’ve read recently that have influenced me are, the Bible, The Science of Mind, by Ernest Holmes, This Thing Called You, by Ernest Holmes, Creative Mind, by Ernest Holmes, Conscious Acts of Creation, by Tiller, Dibble, and Kohane, The Field, by Lynne McTaggert, the Isaiah Effect by Greg Braden, Hidden Messages in Water, by Emoto, as well as several recent articles in Scientific American Mind on the subject of how we perceive our world.
I think we are all a part of the whole and the whole wouldn’t be complete without each one of us. Therefore everyone is important and has a right to life regardless of skin color, religious or political beliefs or sexual orientation. I also think that no one should interfere with another person’s journey toward perfection. We are each on the path to enlightenment and perfection and though we act and see ourselves as single beings and individuals we are each contributing to a race consciousness that is evolving toward the time when the truth is known to each one. The truth is that we are one and the great I AM is within each of us and expresses itself throughout the world. Therefore, we are indestructable and will each reach a state of perfection at some time. Life, though it may be a “play of consciousness”, as Baba Muktananda said, is real and meant to be lived. This is the way the I Am expresses itself through us and as us.
One of the best ways to experience this I AM is to take a walk in nature, the “Untaught Sallies of the Soul,” that Emerson wrote about and experienced. Another way of course is to be still and quiet and listen. The universal is as close as your thoughts.
Above all else, enjoy life, but don’t try to hang onto things in this life realizing that all things will be returned to you when you merge again with the greater consciousness just as a drop of water returned to the sea is once again part of the whole and cannot be removed or lost. Do not be cowed or frustrated by the establishment or governments, though their nature is tyranny they too shall pass and the individual will be left. Almost everyone you meet will be of a good nature and trying to do their best to express the life within them in their own unique way. Enjoy them and share the spirit of life with them, but do not become caught up in their personal struggles other than to offer comfort and your own insights. Each one of us must walk his or her own path, but we each get to do just that and that is part of the glory of existence, no matter how humble or trying our existence may be.
It is my belief that we are each created by love and are the embodiment of love on earth. If you will listen to that small, calm, inner voice you will find this is true and experience a feeling of peace and happiness that no earthly pleasures can match. To be happy be happiness, to be loved be love, to be at peace be peace. When you become aware of these things within you they are brought into existence in this world because each of us is a portal through which the Divine is made manifest here on Earth. And so, in that way, we do create the world with our thoughts. Love Peace and Happiness to each one.
